Information Management Services
Information Management (IM) Services ensure the validity of the data elements and data sets meet the input specifications for the CRGs processing as well as RPNavigator analyses. The completeness and validity of the input data is critical to the accuracy of the output informational analyses.
Part of IM Services' responsibilities is to work with our clients' respective Information Technology (IT) team to ensure a detailed understanding of the claims systems information pertaining to: inpatient, outpatient, professional, facility and pharmacy claims as well as encounter data to include, but not limited to:
- Number and types of claims systems
- Business rules associated with claims processing
- Specialty codes and descriptions
- Nonstandard coding standards and conversion mapping
- NDC and drug names (for pharmacy data)
- Plan and group identification numbers
- Subscriber and member eligibility and unique identifiers
- Member eligibility (required to develop prospective weights)
Once the IM Services team has received our clients's data, they will begin the process of converting the data into the appropriate format. Once all analyses, instances and study information are compiled, they will
populate the backend database of RPNavigator, where our clients can then access the information over the Internet, via secure logon. |
